Scott Amaral Obituary, Cambridge, ON Death – Family Mourns Sudden Loss at 44

The Cambridge community is mourning the sudden passing of Scott Amaral, who died on the morning of Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 44. Born May 16, 1982, Scott was surrounded by his devoted wife and two children during his final moments.

Remembering Scott Amaral

Scott was a loving husband to Laura Amaral and a devoted father to Tiago and Bella Amaral. His family remained at the heart of his life, and he dedicated himself to supporting them and encouraging his children to pursue their dreams.

He was the son of Teresa and Manuel Amaral and brother to Jonathan Amaral. He was also a cherished uncle and a beloved member of his extended family.

Scott shared a particularly close bond with his grandfather, Carlos Cabral, and will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery near his beloved grandmother, Lydia Cabral.

A Life Built Around Family and Hard Work

Scott spent 26 years working in construction before retiring and devoting the later years of his life to spending more time with his family. His greatest happiness came from creating memories with Laura, Tiago and Bella and enjoying time at home with his beloved dogs, Stark and Wolfie.

Those who knew Scott remembered him for his strong work ethic, generosity and willingness to help others. He was described as selfless and determined, particularly when it came to building a bright future for his children.

His family also remembers the support and love he received from his in-laws, Maria and Antonio Arrojado.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements

Family and friends will be received at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, on Tuesday, September 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 210 South St., Cambridge, on Wednesday, September 2, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Scott Amaral leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, determination and family devotion. Though his life was cut short, the memories he created and the lessons he shared will remain with those who loved him.
