Georges Graney Obituary, Chelmsford, MA Death – 21-Year-Old Remembered for His Love of Nature and Family

CHELMSFORD, Mass. — The Graney family and the Chelmsford community are mourning the sudden loss of Georges Graney, who died on August 15, 2026, at the age of 21.

Born on May 27, 2005, in Newton, Massachusetts, Georges was born alongside his twin brother, Charlie, to Robert and Sophie Graney. He grew up with his family in Chelmsford, where he attended high school before continuing his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, pursuing a degree in biology.

Remembering Georges Graney

Georges was described by his family as a kind and thoughtful person with a sharp wit and an unmistakable sense of humor. His personality and warmth made him someone who was deeply appreciated by the people fortunate enough to know him.

He had a strong passion for nature and wildlife, an interest that was reflected in his artwork and his fascination with animals. His love for catching snakes and his plans to work with animals reflected a genuine curiosity about the natural world.

Georges also enjoyed adventure and discovering new foods. Away from his academic interests, he was a skilled snowboarder, an enthusiastic video-game player and a sports-car enthusiast.

Some of his most cherished moments were spent with his family. He enjoyed fishing with his father and twin brother from their family boat and traveling with his mother.

To his family and friends, Georges was an amazing son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend. His absence will be deeply felt by everyone who loved him.

He is survived by his grandmother in France, his mother, Sophie, his father, Bob, and his twin brother, Charlie.

Funeral and Burial Arrangements

Visiting hours were scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

His Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Saturday, August 22, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford, with those attending asked to gather at the church.

Burial was scheduled to follow at Fairview Cemetery in North Chelmsford.

Georges Graney leaves behind memories cherished by his family and friends. His curiosity, humor, love of nature and devotion to those closest to him will remain part of the legacy he leaves behind.
