SAINT-MAURICE, VALAIS — Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 39-year-old Maëlle D., who has been reported missing from Saint-Maurice since Monday, August 24, 2026.

According to the cantonal police, Maëlle left her home in Saint-Maurice on August 24 and was last seen walking along Grand-Rue. Police are concerned that she may be disoriented and are asking anyone who may have seen her or has information about her whereabouts to come forward.

Maëlle is described as approximately 163 centimetres tall with a slim build, blonde, medium-length hair and blue eyes.

At the time of her disappearance, she was believed to be wearing a multicoloured blue top featuring a gold design on the chest, blue jeans and flip-flops.

Police have appealed directly to residents, motorists, pedestrians and anyone who may have been in the area around the time Maëlle was last seen. Even seemingly minor information could potentially assist investigators in determining where she may have gone.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear, and authorities have not provided further information about where she may have travelled after being seen on Grand-Rue.
